What started as a baseball version of Simple Seasons has evolved into this game, one with two ways to play! While Pitcher of Record Baseball is a little more complicated than Simple Seasons, you can match up any two teams from baseball history and get realistic full-game results.
Each team is rated for offense, defense, and pitching, and each facet of the game can earn–or cost–a team runs. With the main version of the game, you can play with just these ratings. But the Pitchers expansion gives each team’s starting pitcher or relievers the chance the affect the outcome of the game. And in both versions, the home team always has a chance to walk it off!
Note: Beginning April 2026, I’m no longer bundling the team cards and the pitcher cards together in the same file. I’ve found that working out all the pitcher ratings really slows down my progress on seasons, so I’m hoping this change will allow me to get more seasons out faster, then I can expand on what I’ve got.
